Gravity Hill in San Antonio, Texas

Way back when, a bus filled with children got stuck on the railroad tracks that cross the intersection of Shane and Villamin Roads in San Antonio, Texas. The bus was struck by a speeding train and everyone aboard was killed. The surrounding streets are, it is said, to be named in memory of the children that died. Any driver who is foolish enough to stop his car on the tracks at the same intersection will find his car pushed off the tracks by the ghosts of the children.

While the roads surrounding this locale are named for children, they are the children of local developers who are alive and well. Furthermore, there is no record of any train-bus accident at this location. Finally, in order for this effect to work you must park your car in front of the tracks, not on the tracks.

This legend was featured (and debunked) on the ghost program Fact or Faked.

Location

Take Interstate 410 to exit 42. Turn south onto Southton Road. Take the second right on to Shane Road. Drive 3/4-mile to the railroad tracks.
